Yes, in a fit of Friday afternoon web surfing I have signed up for the 2009 Folding Bike Challenge. That’s right, the Alfine Tikit is on its way to Paris. 240 miles in 4 days. Not a tall order on the Campaged-out road bike, but my longest trip in one go on a Tikit is about 7 miles. Time for some training methinks.

  2. Will do Charmaine. Am getting quite excited at the prospect of Folding Bike Challenge. Have done the majority of my training. The Tikit goes into the local bike shop for a thorough service next Saturday and then I’m set.

  3. Gareth – so, did you like the Folding Bike Challenge tour? Would you recommend it? I’m still interested in signing up, once details are posted…. I would be flying in from Washington, D.C.

  4. Hi Charmaine – yes the Folding Bike Challenge was brilliant. Apart from falling off once, I enjoyed every minute of it. The organisers, Action Challenge, had planned it to perfection – quiet roads, small French hotels and arriving in Paris as a group was a complete buzz.
